Get Ready for Spring!
By Amy Witt

With spring approaching, as well as Valentines Day it’s time we prepare ourselves to dress effortlessly with the hottest new fashions and walk the streets like our own runways.
Pastels, polka dots, florals, color blocks, red lips, and electric brights are perfect ideas of fashion trends we can make a statement in for Spring and Valentines day.
Pastels are huge this season with fresh shades of pinks, corals, and minty greens, you are guaranteed to look polished and flawless pairing a pastel top with a tailored neutral dress pant or skirt. Polka dots are not only cute but classic. They give you a retro-chic feeling and make you look sweet and sheek. Step out in a flowy blouse or a skirt and mix colors of pinks and reds with black and white polka dots. Polka dots are perfect for any occasions from work to church to date night.
Color blocks are super fun and daring. They are fun and easy to wear no matter if you’d like to play them down or dare to be bold the color palettes range from subtle to electric so we are able to choose what fancies us. You will see an abundance of dresses, silky blouses, and even wedges this season.
Red lips….now where should I begin. All of you know I wouldn’t be caught dead without red lips. Red lips are fun, rich, and a flattery color. There are so many brands to choose from and so many hues…but my fave…MAC Cosmetics…you will never go wrong! While I am on the red lip trend I might tell you red lips are not a trend to me. Growing up, I was to embrace my natural beauty with eye makeup not even an option. I would always get so upset with my mother for never allowing me to apply mascara. She then gave me the freedom of wearing lipstick but no other makeup. She explained to me that “less is best” and embracing your lips is the best thing for your face. It brightens your eyes and your skin complexion and does not take away from your natural beauty. I will go to the grave with my MAC lips trend or not.
Florals are always sweet and romantic.  Pretty bold and vibrant floral colors from skirts, blouses, cute dresses, and shoes you can not go wrong with florals this season.
Electrics and neon’s have become catwalk raves. From neon greens, bright pinks and yellows, you will look fabulous in sky-high heels, a fun clutch or purse, skirt, dress, or blouse. Remember to only stick with one eye-catching bright and pair them with black to look stunning and fun.
Other things I am loving this season and are great to wear year round are bold chandelier earrings, pink dresses, white heels, and all over prints such as cheetah and paisley, are all hot, fun, and stylish making you look and feel like a super model!
