Nights Out on the Town.

We spent a night on the town of good 'ole Fort Worth.
One of our good friends, Bonner, was entered in the Stock Yards bull riding held EVERY Friday and Saturday night. Until he rode, we went bar hoping down the strip.
My favorite bar was the Basement Bar...it was so artsy, hippie, fun! The bands were awesome but the DJ would blow your mind he was so talented. I kinda felt like I was in a movie in that bar.
We traveled on down to the Cadillac, which I wasn't a fan of, then to PR..not so good..and we ended the night out at the Neon Moon...which was fun!
Sometimes, its hard to get outfits pics so I am sorry I have failed to get pics.
We have gone fishing a couple of days in a row...and have only caught small Bass or Blue Gill..but the scenery is well worth it but the mosquito bites make me never want to go again. I am a very picky fisher woman. I don't put bait on the hook or take fish off the hook...and I deff. don't touch bait. The boys had me catching frogs for bait...and let me tell you it was tricky and I hated when the squirmed in my hand. My family always makes fun of me that I'm Howie off bench warmers because I don't like to be in the sun...I love the sun and I enjoy being outside but most times I prefer not to be directly in it..I worry about leather skin. Anyways, fishing, I was shaded up under a tree on the bridge.
I guess butterflies have migrated to Stephenville and the surrounding area because they are seriously evverryywhherrre!

I have enjoyed Texas but I am really ready to get back home and back on track!
Ready to see my dogs, and family, get back to the gym, and rope!
Until then, I will be writing you from Stephenville.
Love ya!
XOXO

Column #21 - TEXAS!

Texas
By Amy Witt

Welcome to Texas. Now go Home. As we drove from Dallas to the infamous town of Stephenville, that sign was one of the first things I noticed. Stephenville, in which I will be calling my home for the next two weeks, while I am the head of women's design for an up and coming clothing line which will be sold exclusively in Sheplers. Don't get me wrong I love Texas and am so happy to be here…I kind of needed a break from my everyday routine but I can't wait to come back home…I get very home sick. One of my goals, is to have a vacation home around Stephenville.
For those of you who have never been to Texas, it is a different way of life. Residents are very different. They are over the top friendly, outgoing, down to earth, and everything cowboy. There is a roping, rodeo, calf roping, or bull riding every night of the week…some places like Billy Bobs which is a bar…they have a rodeo and bull riding inside their bar with a huge dance floor. You are able to drink, dance, and watch a rodeo all at the same time. Who wouldn't enjoy that?!
For inspiration, the team and I traveled on down to Fort Worth Stock Yards. As a first timer, I was blown away. Long streets of bars, shopping, and entertainment, with every walks of life. We traveled all around like little kids in a candy shop snapping photos of everything, laughing, and admiring everything. The fashion around here is very western as you can imagine. There are many luxury and high fashion collections within the western fashion…in which someday I will be involved in. Cowboy boots, turquoise, and silver for miles!
I forgot to share with you that I am also writing a fashion column for the Ropers Sports News which is a monthly roping and rodeo magazine so I will share with you some of my columns every now and then.
I have another couple weeks here designing my heart away and soon will be blowing the western industry away with our new clothing line. Next weekend, I will be all by my lonesome so I am going to be adventurous and travel around Stephenville and the surrounding areas.
Until then, I will be writing y'all (laughs) from Stephenville, Texas. When I return, I have many Porterville businesses to visit and catch up with. I have been constantly on the run and actually in and out of Texas for the past couple of weeks. Miss my readers and California! Hold the fort down in Porterville until I return!

Last night was Austin's bday so we went out to celebrate.
Started at Fuzzy's which is a taco restaurant that sells slushy margaritas and beeritas!
We then walked to Running P bar where we celebrated so more.
It was very fun night!
I also went on a date the other night. First one in a very long time. I think it was the best date I have ever been on. We plan to go watch the Rangers baseball game next week...they play the Yankees in Arlington which is not too far from Stephenville. Funny how it all plays out.
Today, we are off to fish and explore.
Have a great day!
xoxo
Love ya!

Well..I am a Texan for a couple of weeks.
I flew out Friday to come visit Stephenville...and I love it!
The boys took me to a trip to The Famous Stockyards...to brainstorm and get some inspiration for our up and coming clothing line. Let's just say we went over the top...I mean our minds are going crrraazzzzaaayyy!!!
We had such a fun, positive, inspirational, beautiful Sunday!
The places here blow your mind...unlike anything we've ever seen in Cali.
Tomorrow starts off our amazing week brainstorming and designing our hearts away!
Have a great evening!
XOXO

HAPPY EASTER!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous beautiful Easter!
My parents are seriously the best...they always do little things with the biggest details that mean so much.
They hid this Easter basket for me and not only did they pick some roses to put inside...they bought me that vintage turquoise and coral cuff..as you can see in picture. They bought for me in Texas...I guess when I wasn't looking.
This dress is actually a skirt...its really long so I decided I'd wear it as a dress and I had fun with it.
If you look closely you will see light blue in my hair...just for fun and a change..
I have complimented lately over these past couple months about my smile...I don't know if I smile more now or what if I am just happier...but I need to smile more in my pictures...its so natural...even when I try not smiling I really can't haha.
The little piggie...her name is Tulip...she is a potbelly pig my mom has bottle fed.
The painting I painted for my Aunt Dana for her bday and just finished and gave to her today.
Bubba and Cruiser were enjoying themselves outside running around in the grassy field.
I also got a fashion column with the Ropers Sports News...I am super ecstatic about that and will give you more details soon!
Frank Sinatra, Memories are made of this...is one of my fav songs in whole wide world...so that's my title.
This new song though...Someone that you use to know by Goyte...is actually kind of my anthem...sums it up for me.
Oh, you know summer is here when you are greeted by two rattle snakes in your garage...yes...two rattle snakes greeted Cruiser and I as we were getting ready to leave...thank goodness Cruiser found them or I would've probably have been bit and thank goodness I saw Cruiser in time or he would've been bit.
I didn't have a shovel or anything to take care of them so I had to swallow it when my parents didn't come in time and they were gone. Just the pleasure of living in the hills ;)
Have a wonderful evening and Happy Easter.
I am off to a nice bubble bath...and work out sesh in morning...much needed after all the candy and food!
XOXO
Love ya!
