Wedding Wednesday

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

We set a date!
and...
This month I said Yes to the Dress!
I can't even begin to describe how wonderful and amazing it is!
I have been stressing about wedding planning. It is hard, stressful, and overwhelming.
I finally told myself I was going to turn it over to the universe and things started popping up.
Walking yesterday, I found my ceremony site. The merigold field at my house...surrounded by eucalyptus trees, views of the moutains, orange groves, and greenery, in the country in an open barbwire field...exactly what I have been envisioning but never putting in my head.
The reception venue I was interested in informed me today that the sky's the limit on decorating with a price and accomodations too good to be true...but true!
I will be purchasing most of my flowers and decorations from the Garment District down south.
My bridesmaids and I have been shopping around but haven't had much success.
I have really come to the realization that it's not about what everyone else wants or thinks it's about our marriage. Our lifestyle and our wants and likes.
My vision and options are literally endless and with the help of Pinterest...my mind has been constantly filled with flowers and unicorns and everything fabulous!
I do have some partics - LOTS OF FLOWERS! A candy bar, bridesmaid over the top hair and makeup, lots of flowers, lots of glam, and did I mention lots of flowers?!

Beverly Hills Road Trip

 

Well hello!
Last weekend my mother treated myself, my maid of honor Monica, and my Aunt Dana to a bridal weekend in Beverly Hills.
We stayed at the beautiful InterContinental. The pics above are at the hotel, as well as, our view from our room which overlooked Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
We visited SUR that Friday evening and Saturday morning the real fun began.
Chamount was our breakfast cafe of choice and jotted over to Panache Bridal by 10:30am for my first experience trying on bridal gowns. I had no luck at Panache in fact I really didn't like it at all...only the Rose Champagne which was delicious especially for a person who isn't fond of Champagne.
Appetizers were up next in which we chose Villa Blanca for pizza and Ginger Ale.
We were to be at Winnie Couture by 2:30.
Winnie Couture was another story. The whole ambiance of the salon was perfection from chandeliers, over sized mirrors to top notch customer service, not to mention I fell in love with one gown....and only one gown. The pictures above is my only gown of choice thus far...however, I still feel it isn't the ONE. I am craving more couture and glam!
I am so fortunate and blessed to have had this whole experience my mother gave me - along with just having my mother, Monica, and Aunt Dana there.

Friday, I have another appointment local for more wedding dresses.

Given this dress, I was to style around with up to 7 other ModCloth products to create the perfect ensemble for a fun filled night!

This was a super fun collab. and I actually wish I could wear this outfit for an occasion! I feel like this is the perfect outfit from dancing in the streets to getting out of control in a fun photo shoot!

Guts N Grits Photo Shoot

Hello there my friends!
Happy New Year!
Life has been cray cray...but amazing all at once.
I have been so busy with my personal life from my job, to working out, wedding planning, a new puppy, to my personal health issues, to making the decision of buying a house this year,
to just every day life adventures.
Trying to prioritize, not making excuses, or procrastination, is sometimes difficult and my blog has been set aside which I fully regret.
I am trying to accomplish goals in my life and career and neglect many things that are important to me like my blog and sometimes my health.
2014 is going to be my year...in which I have so much to accomplish.
